{ relaxing in the house after garcia caves haa. pics later! }
okie i'm back to continue the prev post haha...
what we did today ahha - 15th Aug 09' (Sat)... We visited (pics later) Caves of Garcia (grutas de garcia) with the school. Soooo hawt today on our walk back home as we cut through school. Plus all of us were a little groggy having slept on the bus ride back (around 1 hr) hee... Tmr's Cherlyn's 20th bday (in Singapore it already is) soooo
HAPPY 20th BIRTHDAY CHERLYN. i was the first to wish u in the caves haa, cos u were saying it's alr ur bday in SINGAPORE aha. You're sleeping now cos the cough syrup made you drowsy. It's good to be able to sleep when u feel sleepy so GET WELL SOON OKIE, roomie & laugh out loud friend hahhhahahaa... Sometimes I swear it's sooo damn funnaye - the things we laugh at ahhaa :)))))
Though we're going out to eat later, I feel full so not really that excited? But okie I'm a little excited cos at least we're going to try a new place and no tacos for today haha. About the caves, the tour was in Spanish and there were lotsa people and it just doesn't feel that real to me. It felt artificial, especially those formations as you walk by. It's too people-filled... I'd only feel the magnificence of it when we're in a clearing and I could see the very tall ceiling of the cave then I'd go like "wow" a while haha. Maybe cos I didn't have enough sleep, I slept at 2am last night working on the transcript I had to translate and had to wake at 8am.
Actually, I cried on the bus. Cos seeing all the mountains/hills as the bus went by reminded me so much of Yellowstone and it's like nothing can compare to it? Ah alamak! Was talking to Yangyang last night and he went "haha, the story of yellowstone will live in my heart forever" and I was telling I still miss it so much sometimes and he went “才女也难过？” haha. Oh well, overthinking doesn't help and my thoughts go in spiral again. I should really write more huh? Cos at least always rmb that writing it out is cathartic/therapeutic!
Meeting Diana (spaniard) in the library on Thu was pretty cool ahha. I was trying to kill time during the 1.5 hrs break I had before my last lesson of the day haa. So I decided to check the library out since I only just heard that there were more than 1 floor in the library frm my history teacher. (i'm taking History of Latin America and the Caribbean) I saw Diana there and voila haa! She's there and sooo cute and I was saying her English is very cute then she went "I speak bad" HAHHA... I think she's a very interesting person with lots of vivacity and energy. I took a liking to her the first time I saw her actually aha. So that was unexpected :) There was a cute librarian ahhaa. I mean how lucky is that haha.
Tada my mind's thoughts are wandering again aha. Neways I should continue on right? Haha, paiseh to all my friends who ask me about how mexico is. I always only say it's hawt cos I really don't know what to speak of it. Like it's too early to tell after all? Thanks to Luis and mister who told me to give it time haha. That's how things start. Yellowstone wasn't all good at first. But it's been 2 weeks alr and haha... I don't know...
Think positive!!!!! If it's fated it will happen so don't try to control things and be a fuckin' perfectionist all the time. It's my OCD haha. Let it unfold... I was missing all the people I actually lurve on the bus that's why I cried. Like Jeremy, Evelyn, Lily, Fanny, Charmaine da-jie, Xiaohui da-jie, Shan-er da-jie, Terence, Tang Tang Wei, Sasha, John (south african), Daniel, Branden, Lance, Kathryn, Andy, Paul, Abbie... alamak like everything just came wham. This is good haha. Cos it means I still have feelings? I've been cold for a pretty long while huh... Oh well, I don't know. I need to learn to see things in a different light - through a different perspective. So whenever I feel that reading/watching movies/dramas/anime is what nerds do and it's a waste of time, I should rmb wad echo jie said about “看电影是对心灵好” or something like that. Like she was telling me travelling is for your mind cos you look at more things and interact with people, different experiences... Haha...
Okie I should be creative now and create.... A BLOGPOST AHA.
and uh, actually I do tink I'm lucky to always have company, except when I have classes and stuff. It's really a comfort zone but I'm blessed haha. Maybe that's why I'm not homesick aha. Give thanks to the things in life haha. Like my dear housemates joke soo much that I forget about being emo u know. THANKS GUYS ahha. I'm interested to see how our relationships change over time aha. IT's only 2 weeks haa. Pretty funnaye and exciting huh?
part 2 of 2nd Aug 09' (sun)
made new mexican BFF ever - tono/antono - cab driver who became our translator in the end cos he could speak english quite a lot and he himself said a little bit only ahha. he also brought us to this cheap tacos place haa. i can only eat champinones/queso (mushrooms/cheese) tacos. I was wrong, i tot mexico everywhere would have fish since it has coastal areas and a lot of bell peppers but so far i only eat mushrooms/cheese/maybe some potatoes hah. for the mexican food i mean haa. i heard recently that there's more seafood in the south where it's the coastal areas but in monterrey it's like surrounded by other areas, it's mountains around us so there isnt. AHHH... fish fish fish soon aha. carls' junior i promise you i will visit you soon okie ha.
at the taco's place that TONO brought us there haa. pretty cheap!
soriana's shopping. soriana's is like this big hypermarket haha, they even compare prices with walmart haa. so basically we keep hanging out there to buy bottled water since that's all we could drink before we had a house and a kettle and could boil water. sleep at night haa.

WELL in the end he got his luggage back but he was without clothes for like the first 2 days we were there haa. He only had another tank with him and a pair of jeans but he only realized he has another pair of jeans like the 2nd day his luggage was lost haa. So he kept wearing the same clothes and had to buy BOXERS HAHA, COS he didn't have any inner wear with him in the luggage that wasn't lost. (he brought 2) haha. DAMN FUNNAYE LA AHA.
3rd Aug 09' (Monday)
first day in school ever! first time eating in school cafeteria & registering as an exchange student.
first meal ever haa. take a pic :D
met the friend of the landlady who would be like the in charge for our house. so we talked thru stuff. tiring again ahhhhhhhh. with jet lag and general fatigue and all the processing of spanish just made me very very tired. sometimes i don't even bother ha. and i kinda feel that my energy will be used up by translating/processing a lot actually so i'd end up being quiet/tired at night/in the evening aha.
soriana's again aha. (that's the only place we hang out at ahha - HYPER MART GAWSH) i didn't borrow 10K to come supermarket shopping aha. just kiddin, trying to be exaggerating aha. we go left often these days, just very often at the start. pretty soon, we'll be able to map out the place haa.
go crazy over the ice cream which is generally cheaper
(but these few days, i don't have cravings haha maybe cos i finished my tub of STRAWBERRY HAAGEN DAZ HAHA)

ah international dinner at night haha :) we sat with the spaniards ha. they invited us to this house party and we felt so lost at the party though we talked to some people haa. people just sat in a circle at the backyard while there were some in another lil' space beside the living room aha. oh well, a first house party experience.

4th Aug 09' (Tuesday) 4th night(last night) @ La Casa Del Barrio
only cherlyn and lennard shifted their luggages to be put in our new house first.

all the pollo (chicken) the rest ate haa. 满目疮痍!
all i ate was some fries and this strawberry cheesecake that actually tasted pretty nice haha!
final talks and changes and contracts and all the paperwork done. cheryln and i went to the cabletv/phoneline company with senora (friend of landlady who's in charge of the houses) to apply for wireless internet + phone + cable tv aha. It's in a package so we have no choice and i bet some of us like Cherlyn would be real happy about cable tv aha. Cos if not we'd be more bored haha xp

we went to San Augustine and omigush farkin cute cab driver who went "hello moto". Cherlyn and I were stunned and our mouths were agape for a while haa. he seems like such a jovial, traditional mexican he's pretty dark and there's a nice feeling i get frm him. the good kind of vibe aha. the first place we visited was super huge Zara and the things were cheaper haha.

for pic 3 i tot it looks nice but it jus looks like rags on me haa.
pic 4's pants were pretty cool but they're so loose and sooo big haha.

um chain food store hahah. we eat it frm time to time (at least me) cos i can't resist the taste of rice and the portion always damn big we can't finish alone aha.
