{ Toledo, Ohio (2nd last stop in US) }
TITLE: Toledo, Ohio (2nd Last Stop in US)

OMGush, it's almost the end of my US adventure. I still miss Yellowstone truck-loads! Means if "missin" something - this feeling - has weight, it'd weigh truck loads. We're here to visit Mr Jeremy Dean Watkins ahah. He's called Jerry by everyone here. It's pretty nice, they're just this really random family hah. Jenelle is so good to drive us around everywhere. We visited the beach just now and I'm so tanned like I'm black and fat now aha. It's so funny when I say I'm black and fat - they laugh!

We got here on 28th Jul 08' (mon) night and we spent the night in Jeremy's house on an inflatable mattress in his living room. I must be crazy to spend the night in an enclosed area with 2 dogs and 1 cat. Cody is a Jack Russell but surprisingly he's not tat hyperactive and I'm not that scared after all. Joe is a big fat dog that enjoys lazing everywhere and he can be immobile for hours! Brandy is a really beautiful cat that is pretty fat and likes to be on top of things. I'm using the motel's (Econo Lodge) desktop to get online so I can't post any pictures but I have really random ones and ones that tell what we do here...

I really enjoy sitting in Jenelle's truck (Ford) cos it's so breezy and she doesn't drive that safely. It's better than any roller coaster ride in Disneyland or Universal Studios. Well, talking about that, the best ride in Universal Studios was the Mummy Returns but it's pretty retarded as well. You just sit in the car and it goes in and goes back the way it came from, it's so funny!

29th Jul 08' (tue)
We woke up @ 2pm cos Evelyn and I didn't dare budge thou we woke much earlier than that. I had to hold my pee in for like 5 hours ahah. I didn't dare move much too cos Joe (the big fat dog) was wandering in the living room in the morning aha. It stinks and drips too much saliva but I know they still lurve him ahha.

We spent the late afternoon in J's house just hanging out and we went for a walk around the neighbourhood. It's real hot, comparable to Singapore ahh. What the fu*k... When we got back to his house, Jenelle was like amazed at where we went without a car haha. We checked into the hotel with Jenelle's truck's help and Jeremy stayed with us while we settled down. He's so excited to watch cable TV cos he didn't get to watch it in Yellowstone or back home after leaving Yellowstone. (He's gonna move soon, I guess that's why they didn't have cable tv anymore). We went to eat in Taco Bell woo hoo it's so cheap! But it's just really junkie food (to me). We ate a total of about 20 bucks for 4 ppl and Evelyn and I split it.

We drove around at night and had new experiences, I'm not telling on my blog hee hee.

30 Jul 08' (Wed)
We went to the "beach", it's really just Lake Erie. It's such a big lake, I'm amazed... Cos it looks like the ocean aha. I hate myself for forgetting to put the battery into my camera after charging it so I had a camera that doesn't have a battery so I couldn't take any pics/vids.

We went with Jenelle, Lia (Jenelle's gf), Jeremy, Kristine, Sami (Lia's daughter) and it was pretty fun but freakin' hot. All of them went into the water except me cos I don't want to have drippin wet clothes to take on to the Greyhound bus for 12 hrs aha. (Though Evelyn put her clothes in J's house's dryin machine but it wasn't tat dry after all) I'm black now...

We went back to Jeremy's house and did random stuff. I was pretty bored at some points in time cos I really have to do something! WAHH! But it's a great experience though, we met his parents and had pizza tgt. Later, we looked at their family photographs and Jeremy Watkins now looks nothing like him as a child. It was so freaky!

The Watkins are really friendly and nice and hospitable aha. The pizza was nice after I took out the pepperoni and it was kinda awkward at first (to me). IT got better later when we were jus sitting there talkin with Mrs Watkins. Mr Watkins told us about water system and filtered water in Ohio a while later too.

We sat and hung out in Jenelle's truck. (Evelyn, Jenelle, Jeremy & me) We're finally back in the motel now. OH no, my hands hurt. I gotta go now! Pics will be uploaded as soon as possible. Oh gush, I have tonnes of photographs in my laptop!

I really don't want to go back to Singapore, sorry for saying that dear frens and family. I still want to go back to Yellowstone if i had a choice! :/

Hw does one stop missing something badly? Time? Just don't think about it (pretty difficult since it keeps popping up in my mind when I tell myself not to think about this-this-this...)

{ Motel 6 all the way, enjoying the California coastline whee! }
Title: Motel 6 all the way, enjoying the California coastline whee!

Location of the night: Lompoc, along the California coastline @ Motel 6

Whee! Road trips are really nice! The Pacific ocean is so beautiful! Yesterday (22 Jul 08' tue), 5 of us (Shan Er, Charmian, Xiaohui, Evelyn & I) left San Francisco after lunch in Chinatown (yummy and collecting our belurved car. We (especially me) were so excited that we gotta embark on our road trip via a minivan, it's so spacious and comfy in it. I lurve it!

Pics taken on 2nd day in San Francisco (21 Jul 08' Mon)

I went with Evelyn to get a new luggage bag since her old one's side was torn. That sucks! But this new bag looks really nice, simple and posh in a way ahha.

The famous cable car, it's 5 bucks for a ride. It's only cheaper when you buy a pass. Dammit!
We didn't try it haa.

I lurve ice-cream... After all :D
I'm so fat now, I gained 5kg! I'm so gonna lose it when I go back to Singapore and join dance. Yes I will. Shoot I haven't even visited a salsa club here yet. It's hard and we most possibly won't get a chance cos we're below 21. ARGH! We'll try in LA/Anaheim though. Thanks Evelyn for offering to go with me if I do go.

We got a chance to know SAFEWAY, the best supermarket, I lurve it aha! We got the club card and things are so cheap for us now. Yoghurt is sold for 50 cents per small cup. Oooh, yummy, oh no, I forgot the brand but it's still so very cheap! I bought a large Frosties for 3 bucks today when it's 5.79 @ regular price. I lurve this green tea! It's only 88 cents for so many, so SHUANG! SONG!

Can you believe it, I spent like 30 over bucks in Pink and 50 over in Victoria's Secret and none of it was clothes. It's just sprays, mostly @ half price. I bought grape flavoured body sprays, grapefruit, 5 lip glosses for 20 bucks when it was 7 bucks for each at first. I lurve sales. It's funny, I didn't want to shop at first but I ended up spending more than Evelyn did in those 2 stores, argh! I still need to save money cos we have to return Terence in Singapore dollars the accommodation costs and transport costs.

SEPHORA! I heard from balmyzz that this is a really great place to shop for skincare products, cosmetics and stuff along that line but it was closed when we reached Union Square that day. Union Square is like downtown, like Singapore's Orchard Road.

Me and my shopping bags in the middle of the street @ night!

We crossed the Golden Gate Bridge and headed South. We lurve the GPS we rented, Xiaohui and Shan-Er call it their baby, it's like we have a 6th passenger haha. We reached Monterey and ate at Denny's cos all the shops and stuff were closed really early! That's it with many countries in the world, except for Asia haa. It's really pretty fun, listening to music, enjoying the scenery as we pass by, kidding around with each other. I'm so glad we met them in Yellowstone and went with them on their road trip. It's so funny when we work together to get all the luggage up the steps haha. Motel 6 is like a little seaside chalet and our car (minivan) is kinda like our live-in caravan.

Neways, I really gotta learn to enjoy the moment/live for the moment and be contented! :D'
I must enjoy myself cos I'm having the lucky chance of TRAVELLING! We're gonna reach LA tmr and Riomaa is so nice to offer to drive us (just me and Evelyn since we have 1 free day) on Saturday! Woo Hoo! Hopefully tat will work out. Cos in the past, there were a few times when some Americans said they'll bring us out or people will promise you they'll do things for you but it nv happened in the end. That is why, for now, I've decided to take the nonchalant approach... More like if it happens, that's perfect! But if it doesn't, well, that's alright too.

Oh no, I really gotta sleep, I gotta wake in 5 hours time to shower cos we're setting off at 7am and it's 1.19am nw. What the f*ck... Hope this blog entry is interesting for you. I've got more to write cos it's jus pics and descriptions and captions nw aha.

TITLE: I miss Yellowstone, the people, Old Faithful, our dear frens we might nv see again...

Location: San Francisco

I know I'd definitely miss Yellowstone, but I didn't know it'd be this much. San Francisco did cheer me up a little. Golden Gate Bridge was beautiful, I finally see it for myself but it feels so surreal. Fisherman's Wharf is a pretty neat tourist attraction.

Yea proof that I'm in SF!
It's better to be there - to see it for myself haha.
I'm rather sad that Charmed was not really filmed in SF ha. Liar...

I've got tonnes of pics but first i need to catch up on sleep. It's 2.31am and I need to get up at 8am to pack before doing laundry (maybe) and Coit Tower and Lombard Street viewing. I really need to do things. I realized Evelyn and I have become much more random, we can decide to do this and end up not doing it or suddenly feel like doing something and do it instead aaa.

Nighty all...

Mama, call my US no. 1-415-271-0789. If you call my singapore phone no, it's much more expensive. Call my US cell phone cos I can recieve international calls (i think) I lurve you mama and papa

{ Title: It's my bday today here in Usa AND IT'S INDEPENDENCE DAY... }
Title: It's my bday today here in Usa AND IT'S INDEPENDENCE DAY...

But most probably I won't get to see any fireworks. Evelyn and I have no means to get to bigger towns out of the parks where there will be fireworks. Oh well, I gotta be contented and be happy that I'm spending my bday in Yellowstone National Park haha!

It was pretty random and spontaneous - whatever happened after 12am. Evelyn told everyone we came across that it's my bday on 4th july and i get kinda shy. Took pictures with many ppl haha. Whee! Nice pictures yea! I shdn't be sad that I don't get to see fireworks. It's like 3.43am now but I don't really care since the internet connection is so nice.

Many unexpected things happened in the past week or so. On 23rd Jun 08'(Mon), we got lost (5 of us - Evelyn, I, Zhang Ye, Tang Wei and Fan Tong Lin) when we went on a day hike to Shoshone Lake. All that bloody snow covered the trail and it was hard to find our path sometimes. That's how we ended up going on a really long path called "North Shoshone Lake Trail" that's 8.4 miles. We kept thinking we're going in the right direction but we're just circling the lake in actual fact. Shoshone Lake is really beautiful though, it is so wide, it's like a mini ocean. We took quite a couple of pics so I'm happy yea!

By the time we found boards that told us the distance frm Lonestar Geyser, it was gonna be dark soon and it's still 6.3 miles and another 2.4 miles (1 mile is about 1.6km) to reach Old Faithful (home sweet home in the dorm though). Thank goodiness we met Fig and Harren who gave us a torch light and told us our direction. We were so happy to meet humans. Whee! Also, we went to Shoshone Lake frm a path we chose ourselves, Evelyn and I just followed the guys who followed their instincts to reach shoshone Lake by ourselves, snowy path and stuff haa.

Eeew, I see a rat in the Laurel lobby now, i'm alone in the lobby now and internet connection is so fast hah. Omigush, it runs so fast. Neways, we had to stay overnight out in the cold for about 5 hrs, frm 12 plus am to about 5am (daybreak) by a hot spring. Well we tot we could make it back to OF but we couldn't cos we had a pretty fast river to cross after walking for an hour. It was pitch dark and we realy had to turn back. That's when we found the hot spring and it was kinda bad though at least we didn't freeze to death. It's cold out there in the open and our clothes were wet. We did everything we could to distract ourselves from the cold. Thank goodiness Evelyn sang a lot and distracted us (me at least).

We left for our path to go back and it was pretty hard near the end of it. We had very little food, 5 ppl split a PB & J sandwich, 4 oreo cookies and we had no more water left. Thank goodiness we're not in a tropical place, we don't lose that much of water. I'm jus so proud of everyone cos we managed to hang on and survive it - walking for 20 odd hours in 2 days, just crazy when we had to get thru swamps, snow (the snow was pretty bad), we didn't care that our feet were soaking wet. It's my Yellowstone adventure though :D The fine we had to pay - 200 bucks (the rangers fined us for not having a camping permit when we stayed overnight and improper storage of food, we're supposed to tie our food on a tree so bears won't smell the odours and come looking for us but we didn't) (we're innocent kids who told the truth and that's how we got fined) Neways, we made it and hitchhiked back to Old Faithful Inn.

Our bodies ached so bad - i have 2 really awesome bruises (1 on each leg) and it's not gone yet. It's a blend of purple and red and green and blue - it's beautiful, kinda like the rainbow aha. I'm kidding. We're more or less recovered now and it's a memorable experience. Holy cow! I wrote so much - yea, can remind myself about it... Everyone felt indignant that we got fined for being lost but it's kinda true that it's our own fault, we didn't plan and we weren't cautious and we only have ourselves to blame - the ranger made it really clear.

Another sad thing 3 days later - 27 jun 08' (fri), Jeremy left YNP @ about 4.30pm cos he drew on a table a few nights ago in a drunk state (satan lurves you) in laurel and he earned immediate termination. Evelyn and I were so sad that we decided that we must definitely see Jeremy again before we leave, cos who knows when we'll see him again and there wasn't enough time to say goodbye. Well, we did feel really strongly about it - to visit him - and we acted on it and have already booked tickets to go to Toledo, Ohio (his hometown) to visit him! We're just waiting to know if we can stay in their house and save on lodging as well as experience a host family's care and pamper! WHAA... It was really miserable, Evelyn and I'd reminisce about the times when he'd be here, we really miss his hugs!

Omigush, I'll stop it, the bad stuff, the bad is gone now, so the good will come. Pedro is so nice! He just walked by and E told him it's my bday today and he said he'll give me a present and asked me what I want. We spent quite a lot of time talking about it cos I seriously don't know what I'd like to have since it's not a close fren and I don't want to ask for something too much. In the end, we settled on some wildflowers, a note (for me to keep forever), a 5 bucks phone card and a portrait of me (i gave him one of my photographs to draw). THANK YOU SO MUCH! WHEE! SO EXCITED - I WANT A PORTRAIT. According to him, friends and family in Ecuador will celebrate your bday and treat you like a king/queen, so don't worry about anything and just have fun on your bday! WAHA... That's so f*ckin awesome and whee!

To mama & papa & ah sang:
Have a safe trip to Japan and have many beautiful memories. Lurve you all.

To Kelvin Bro:
You enjoy your time in Msia too, my house will only have one member for the next couple of days (back home in Singapore). Omigush i wrote so much... Oh yea, didi/korkor, i got a new roommate and we hang out with her fren as well, they are frm Taiwan but older than me too.

Night all, i think I better go back to planning my timetable and sleeping haa.. It's 4.02am, bloody yell... I will upload pictures if i can hee.
