The following few pics are really recent, on Monday (26 May 08').
This really really nice guy Lance frm our dorm invited us on a hike with his colleagues.
We drove for about 5-10 mins (not sure) TO Black Sand Basin to hike to Mystic Falls (lurvely waterfall)... The scenery on the way was just splendid! On our way up, we sorta panted and lagged behind but that's cos of a steep increase in altitude. We're like at least 8000 feet above sea level. Old Faithful is just 7000 plus.

Title: I'm a Hiker Gurl

I just went hiking myself up to this place called the Observation Point. It's my 2nd time up there. We went with a lot of people on my first time up there during the Full Moon Hike. To be exact, I went with Evelyn, Carlos (columbian whom I speak Spanish to ha - to improve), Sze Ying, Dawn, Terence and Kai Lun. We were late so we were catching up with people who went with the guided hike "Full Moon Hike" on last Monday (19 may 08').

Neways, the point is it's the first time I hiked myself and was pretty scared at first cos all sorts of sounds could be heard. But they are new and refreshing - first time I hear them like that. Evelyn is my shadow n I'm Evelyn's shadow. If I went hiking alone, it meant I don't talk (I don't really talk to myself) so it was all quiet, just my footsteps and sounds frm nature...

But it's great in the sense that it's my first time going on a hike alone and spending some lone time. Hee. I spent 20 mins at the top writing a journal entry. Felt so peaceful there after I tried to overcome my fear of meeting wild animals and I'll never make it down. But yea I reached the top and went to the solitary geyser. I'll take pics of that in future if I go there again. 2 people reached shortly after me and we just stared at the geyser for a couple of mins. It's supposed to erupt to 4 feet every 5 to 7 mins but guess it's either the board was lying or we weren't lucky. I think we waited there for 10 mins but there were only boiling of water and a little eruption of about a few inches - hahaha...

Oh man, why am I ranting and blubbing non stop. I apologize to those who read my blog and realized I haven't been updating or online. Mama, I feel so sorry I hadn't gone online for a while to chat with you all... I don't really miss home and I'm bad that I forgot that you all at home miss me. I lurve you Mama and everyone else, Papa, Sang sang, Kelvin....

Thks Yu for making me feel missed. Min too! I'm having fun - yes! But I get a bit down sometimes, it's just my moods. Yesterday, I felt sad cos I realized June is coming soon and I'm out of this place after 19 Jul. Freaking sad... I grow attached the places and people really easily... Melancholy - not good. Thks Eileen (Spanish)...

and Li Ru for telling me to just enjoy all my days that I've got left here. This journey must end somehow. Tarot cards are so sweet! A lil' weird that I use sweet, it's so nice to use but I don't dare to say it here. I hear many americans say "sweet", it's really sweet when it's sweet. Oke, I'm rubbishing again ...

Some pictures I've yet to post up... I will also do a mini log of what I did everyday for the past week or so to remind myself as well as update you all who miss me back home! I'm having real lots of fun during hiking (though I get out of breath sometimes - the high altitude), taking millions of pictures of myself with diff backgrounds and expressions and poses... Laughing @ Jeffery/Jeremy/Jeremiah, AnDREW, with Evelyn, @ Terence... Dian Xian Gang haha... Dear Abbie I lurve you for taking us out on West Yellowstone trip ( really lots of fun, we were tourists! Abbie's one of our assistant managers at Bear Paw Deli and she even treated us lunch after driving us out to West Yellowstone)... I have so many pictures I want to put everything up but dammit that the connection is so slow sometimes...

Yea, I found a way... That is to resize them til they are much smaller. But it's alright cos I want to just show my belurved ones the pictures I have with me now... I really had so much fun taking all of them! Also, I want my dear mama and papa to rmb how I look like! My blood-related family, I'm here, right in front of you!

Connection is so much better in the wee hours - dammit it's 3.19am on 28 May 08' (wed), I'm opening later (P1 - Prep 1), means I work frm 9am - 5.30pm cos Drew is off later haa. Normally, he's the Prep master and he opens. He's so cute and nice - he gave me a necklace with a pagan sign - called a pentagram... :DDDD

I'm still posting the pics of 12 May 08' (Monday), our first day off and I went on this trail called Morning Glory. It's a loop and that was the first day we took so many pictures since reaching Yelllowstone...

This is Evelyn shovelling snow haa. Th door behind her is the door to our dorm whee! I feel thqt it's like small cottage, so nera our workplace, double yea!

The above pics were taken on our 1st off day (Mon), I'm just trying to upload the pics taken on that wonderful, beautiful day. More to come. I jus think it's a really lurvely day and I had so much fun laughing and stuff.

Yea yea, everything has gotten so much better. We went to the employee's pub late last night cos there was a party. Omigush, it was so funny! I danced so much, I used every ounce of my strength cos I've been he deprived for so long. Whee! I was really exhausted, like no energy at sudden times cos I use sudden bursts of energy when I dance like that haha.

Whee! Lurve it man! I'm so tired now cos it's the time of the month of the gurl's ahem. I'm supposed to be really tired but yea, i drank cold stuff (oh no, mama don't beat me) but I had no cramps at all! This is such a great place for recuperation! Hopefully, when I get back to Singapore, my life cycle will be healthier. Our assistant manager Abbie was telling me that gurls weren't taught to have any restrictions when they had their monthlys. And they grow up perfectly well...

Yea, Abbie is so nice. She's bringing me, Evelyn and Terence to West Yellowstone tmr! Whee! We're going to something like a zoo, a bear/wolf musuem, dinner (she suggested treating us and told us not to bring money), we also get to shop. We'll definitely make it back to Old Faithful by 8 plus (hopefully) cos we want to go to the Full Moon Hike. It's 1.40am (19 Aug 08' Mon), we'll be meeting Abbie at 9am.

Oh and work is much more enjoyable. Talked a lot to Drew and he makes fun of me as well as the other people. Made quite a few blunders today but they were all covered up yea! Thanks Jumping Jeffery (Jeremy), Miao & (Nancy) Drew ha! Yesterday's work was really eventful! Thank goodiness for Miao for staying back with me. Otherwise, I think I'll only finish work like past twelve. This new guy called B is pretty lazy and dirty ahhaa. Evelyn had trouble with a guy with serious AP called C. He's really lazy and sloppy ew... When we all reached dorm, 3 of us chatted so much it was so funny haha! Bitching really brings people closer. Oh before that we had a little chat with Megan and Jordan by the window on the 2nd floor.

Yea yea! Evelyn went out with a new fren and a Columbian boy just now! We always tot there was only a Columbian gurl who jus arrived a few days ago but no... (Chupa - inside joke) Oh yea! So happy. The boy Carlos is one year younger than us (arrived abt 5 days earlier) and Evelyn told him about me learning Spanish and even asked him for his room no. Acc to Eve, she said the boy said dancing salsa is like an everyone's thing. His brother is arriving this coming Tue and I'm so excited cos the SOUTH AMERICANS ARE HERE! I can dance salsa and maybe attend Columbian parties (like what Zhaoxing experienced in Canyon last year - she learned salsa frm them)! Hoot! I'm so excited haa!

我今天好开心哦。今天，经理Paul说我是Prep的第二。如果Drew(Prep的第一）没来，就是我管哈哈。好奇怪哦，要我管年级比我大的人。Paul和Drew还说我快，但刚才（昨天）慢死了，Paul还说了我们，让我难过透了。但没办法，我们只好继续加油。Prep就是在厨房里做sandwiches 和 salads. 今天我们在应该开始清理厨房时的时间还在做面包，所以真的很慢。我真的想找借口，其中包括B那个人，还有今天生意很好，卖了特别多。我们在清理厨房前的工作是准备好明天要卖的三文治，所以今天真的很慢。

我也把 ham 当成 smoked turkey, 所以做错了10个，然后急着“修补”错误哈哈。但真的多亏了Miao，如果没有她，我今晚一定不用回家了。



耶，待会儿出去玩！再说吧。。。 总之，现在开心多了。


可是伤心的时，我可爱又漂亮的双手变丑了。因为这儿很干燥，又冷，工作时有时又得带上手套，毛孔都不能呼吸。所以，双手有好几个部位都有红点，也会疼痛。刚才还被面包刀割伤但是没什么大碍。Miao的室友 Li Shan 给我涂上她的药，我的手马上恢复一半了，连皮都长回了。好神奇啊!

TITLE: Whee! i got some pictures up again!

There are 3 hotels in Old Faithful (this village). They are Old Faithful Inn (where I work in), Snow Lodge and Old Faithful Lodge.

Oh man, on Monday when Terence, Evelyn and I went on the hiking trail to Morning Glory and back, we took like a few hundred pictures and about 5 videos, damn funny! WHAHA! I try to put on youtube haa....

It's very funny last night when we said "brievhet"(hello), "spicybar" (thank you), "sparkoinoi nochi" (good night) to the Russians we saw on our way back frm the dorm's lobby. It was past 12 midnight and they were gathering in the corridor using the laptop haha. Thanks MavLiuda for teaching us. They are Russian words. A few russian boys went like "oooh" when I said sparkoinoi nochi ahaha... so funny, russian is hard...

It was pretty scary in the dorm lobby last night cos it was payday and it's like many people got drunk. Evelyn and I were rather freaked out but luckily Dear Daniel (our RC - he hangs in the lobby very much and goes around making rounds, but last night we chatted alot cos we were waiting for security people to come to shut our window for us. It got stuck again cos of me, I pushed it up and it's stuck now when I wanted to get a bigger view and get a leg out of the window to try a different view hah), Lance (this really nice guy from Oregon was there when some drunk people said some really freaky stuff - thank u again), Mark (this really unique guy hah who's so into wrestling and believing he's a vampire cos he stays up late but is really tired).

Oh man, it's 10.53am now. I need to bathe and get ready for lunch cos I'm working at 11.30am. Argh! Zao! Run!!!!!!!!!! Thank goodiness my workplace is just like one minute's run from our dorm. I'll count the steps later haa. That's the place we eat our meals too cos "EDR" (employees' dining room) is joined to the back of our deli. Like some secret tunnel haha. That's all for now. He said I wouldn't want to go back home and when mama asked me how's yellowstone, I said I'm so sad and i dont know much about it. Yea yea! He said, it's most important to be myself. It's alright as long as I'm not those reALLy open and casual people... :D

TITLE: Best Days in Yellowstone so far (our off days)

Whee! Yesterday was awesome! Whee! So excited, I had so much energy in the afternoon so I was really tired at night. But I still went to the dorm's lobby to hang out a bit.

Date: 11 May 08' (Sunday) (Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming, USA)

I had to work from 9am til 5.30pm. I worked in Prep (making sandwiches and salads). I really enjoy it yeah! Drew, this really nice guy was like a senior and I followed him all the way, doing everything hehe. He tot people speak Cantonese in Vietnam. WAHHAHA... At first, I was kinda scared of him cos he is really cool as in doesn't talk much.

But he started talking to me first （i was quite sad about discrimination for the past few days but not so much frm yesterday onwards) and his first qn was "What's your native language?" I went "Mandarin and English" and he asked me for a pen and wad's a pen called in Mandarin. I said "bi" and he was like, "Will it be easier if I say 'bi' to you?" WAAAAHAHAHAH, so funny la!

I think he's a deep and intriguing person. His dob is 3rd Mar 1987 baby so just 1 yr plus older than me. He kept a beard til... Today! (Evelyn and I saw him without his beard when we went Bear Paw Deli for ice-cream jus now before lunch - our 2nd and last off day for this week. We need to get used to him clean-shaven now, he looks like a different person hee.) Neways I asked him discrimination and he told me that stand-up comedians make fun of people, so they entertain people at the expense of others. Tis means many Americans are entertained like that. But there are really nice Americans too, we met quite a few on Tuesday which is what I'm going to touch on later...

Later, this guy Cable frm Texas joined us in Prep (in the kitchen) and he sorta fought about American history - the civil war - with Drew. It's a really serious topic cos I dun understand and I got off work soon after that. I met Evelyn, Terence, Pui Ee and Sze Ying in the EDR (employees dining room - where we eat our 3 meals) and we went back to our dorm.

They wanted to go out so I had no time to bathe yucks haa. But it's really cold so it's not too bad. We wanted to pay a visit to the Employee's Pub but we're not sure how to get there. It got too cold halfway and we sought refuge at Snow Lodge. Damn, I was so tired and wet. But the fireplace is awesome! I took off my shoes and socks right before it. I was really cold cos they were wet. This really nice lady frm UK was sitting beside me and talked a little to me. Sadly, there were a few moments of power failure so the fire was gone. Neways, it finally crackled again and I felt so tranquil and comfy there tat I fell asleep for a while. When the old lady went, she even gave my arm and hand a lil' squeeze and it felt so warm - i appreciate that very much whee! m_m

When we rested for quite a while, dammit, it was so cold and we finally found our way to the Employee's Pub. It was quite an amusing scene, but it's not the modern kind of pubs, I felt that it was those little pubs in small villages, with old people drinking booze, mainly beer n some youngsters playin pool or darts. Some were eating pizza or sitting by the bar. There's this really big area which is empty in the middle, maybe that's the dance floor. There's a sorta party going on this Sat (May 17）it sounds really funny and fun ahha. It says "dress smooth to leave a good impression" haa. Something like that... We're going to take a look at it to see how funny it is aha.

Neways, Evelyn and I were so tired and we almost fell asleep in the pub, then we left first. Oh damn, it was bloody cold - the coldest I've ever felt. Even colder than Xi An, cos at least in Xi An we had big coats on. But I'm mostly wearing just shirts and 1 jacket or windbreaker (but kinda ugly cos I have no body, I'm like just round...) It was a pretty long walk and it was dark. Like at least 15 mins. But we made it in the end yea! We're so afraid of animals but it's exciting to see one though, but we didn't get to see one ahha.

Date: 12 May 08' (Monday) (Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming, USA)
Dorm: Laurel @ Old Faithful

I'll start with yesterday. It was our off day (my first and Evelyn's second cos she was sick in the morning on Sunday and we're both scheduled to have Mon and Tue off). We had breakfast and helped shovelling the snow! Later, we went on the geyser trail, we saw the Old Faithful geyser erupt but it was so smelly and the wind blew it this way so it was a mess. Like some kind of steam full of shit but I think it's just sulphur. Haha, everyone ran and left the place right after it erupted when everyone was trying to get close to it before hahaaahhaha...

We went to this geyser called "Morning Glory" and went back all the way, it's like a loop. Kai Lun were with us at first but cos he was wearing glasses, he couldn't wear sunglasses and cos the snow was too glaring, he left us someway when we started to make snowmen and snowball fights ahah. It's bad to look at snow for too long, you'll get snow blindness! ARGH! So scary!

The entire trail sorta took 3 hours, I'll check later. We took a couple of videos and it was really fun ahhahaha. It was damn funny and most of the time, we were alone (me, Evelyn, Terence) so we did lotsa stuff. Like different poses, dancing, taking videos haha, so funny! The best day so far! But it was so cold too. Thanks Terence for lending me your "fatty jacket" and "bear disguise" WHAHA! I'll put up pics, we took abt a few hundred pictures. Yea, it's just lotsa fun. Having so much fun like that, it's worth it... That we're working so hard and training so hard the first few days we got here.

Wow, this is by far the longest post. I started halfway in my room but I realized in that sleeping position, I can't concentrate. Yea, so I went to the lobby （I'm in the lobby now) and bingo, I'm typing furiously. Said hi to a couple of people here, like Dear Daniel (hahaha - our RC guy, he makes sure we're comfortable but he's like the subordinate and works really hard, like almost everyday), Cody and Broc, Faith, a few Vietnamese gurls but I can't rmb their names. Cody is so funny, he just asked for my name and he asked the Vietnamese gurls who just walked past. The Vietnamese gurls were amused, that's pretty funny haha...

We're so glad we made it frm the geyser trail back to our dorm and we saw some buffaloes yeah! WAHHA, they are so fat and big ahha! But they won't attack. We went for dinner yummy and talked to Broc. He's Cody's friend and it's really nice that Evelyn, me, him and Terence (he joined later) talked quite a bit in the dining room after we finished our meal. I asked him about discrimination and he said he studied in community college (like our JC, only 2 yearS) in Alabama and he's a minority, the Blacks are the majority. It's like he knows the feeling of being a minority, I was telling him that Singaporeans, Chinese are the majority so it's kinda weird that we're the minority now.

We talked really lots, like about lifestyle, pets, hobbies, he's so into baseball. Evelyn said he's into fashion design and drawing and playing the saxophone. Evelyn spoke up for me - dancing haha! Terence is just so funny by just sitting there. Yea, I'm so happy I'm a typing machine, I'm typing so fast now and this blog is going to be done soon. Don't worry.

At night, we played Risk in the lobby. Jeremy called the shots cos he was trying to teach us how to play it. It's a really long game and I was really tired so Yihui took over me and Jeremy, Cable, Kelvin, Yihui and Evelyn played the game til they decided to stop ahha. I was just trying to blog and I learned a bad word frm Daniel (chingatu madre = mother f**ker) It's Spanish and talked a bit to Brandon. He claims he knows Spanish but there were a few sentences we exchanged and we don't know what each other means haha.

(What's your birthday?) --- I really lurve asking this question cos I get to know their horoscope.

Yup, so we talked a lot last night, the most socializing. It's really easy, you just have to sit in the lobby. Terence was zombified again ahhaahahaahahaaa, it's just damn funny haha.

现在在这里好多了。继续锁定我的网络日记，我一有空就会留几句在这里。对了，昨天当我们在楼下玩时，有很多人搬进来。因为，之前有很多人搬了出去，据说，许多过21岁的人都搬到新建好的宿舍。I heard people say they were trying to control underage drinking. Like people below 21 years old stay in Laurel and they can't drink here. But still, there are a no. of people who don't want to move cos it's 15 mins away frm our workplace (the new dorm) but it's really near the Employees pub.

不好意思，我得换去英文因为我没时间翻译。

TITLE: Finally felt happy cos I'm chilling (resting/relaxing) now!

Whee! Today is a happy day though it was extremely cold. Whee! I'm going to try to update and post pics as often as I can! I'll get to reminisce how I felt and my days in Yellowstone. There was lots of snow today - it's just a white patch of vast land...

Our new friend, frm Singapore but she's frm China, Dai Miao (she works at the deli with us and she's frm NTU too) told us that we'd hurt our eyes if we looked at the snow too long. We had breakfast with her and this friendly guy frm Alabama said "Ni Hao" when we went to clear our plates. It was so funny ahha! This is one of those very friendly people and Miao was saying she was almost scared to death before we joined her cos she turned and saw an ang moh, she wondered who said that haha!!!! I think his name is Craig, he's the friend of Cody (real friendly guy)...

Mmm, me and Evelyn are just chilling in our room cos our work starts at 12pm and 11.30am respectively. It's 9.59am now! We really feel very relaxed now - great! It's like we're just listening to music and Evelyn is blasting her speakers frm her voicebox aha! She said she gets scolded for doing that back at home so she's making full use of the freedom now and I have to turn up the volume of my earphones really loud to be able to enjoy Elva songs haha...

There was so much snow and we plan to go and get gloves so we can play snowball fights, take more photos in the snow... Build a snowman though that meant our fingers would be really frozen, like frozen cheesesticks aha. Pamela, thanks for Swensens meal again! It was great! Hope to see ya soon and talk about Sex and the City hahha!

Last night was really cold - feet cold, hands cold. My hands are feeling so cold as I type this now hee.

Yea Yea! I just chatted with my dear Mama now! So miss her and feel so sad when she say she n Papa couldn't sleep the first night cos they dunno where I am as my phone's auto roaming got no signal... So touched! This is really... Great for our relationships cos we miss each other so much!

爸爸、妈妈：
刚刚终于听到妈妈的声音= 很开心！就感觉其实你们离我不远。像哥哥说的，我的珍惜这里的美，因为这是一个难得的机会。其她的好朋友都这么说。昨天真的很累，但最难的就是第一天，今天一定会更好！克服一切困难，然后觉得自己很厉害哈哈。好想去hikingHEE。

也真的很想多和不同的人交流，除了欣赏这里的美，和哲理的人交流才是这次旅行的目的嘛！啊，真的觉得我穿制服很丑。怎么办？像那时候在PACIFIC COFFEE COMPANY做工时。啊，怎么办？咳，我也知道只能这么办。哈哈哈，我死不了，熬得过的哈哈。

我的妈呀，我的爸呀，这不应该是种煎熬。应该是人生中一大乐事和享受。哥哥真可爱，他很SWEET哦。一直帮我和现在的大力宣传我的网络日记哈哈。以前，他根本不管我。阿桑更好笑，用我的LIBRARYCARD去借书但是不成功！哇哈哈。。。

我唯一能做的就是调整我的心态吧。要乐观！呃，或是应该像庄子一样“大观”呢？那的意思就是不乐观也不悲观，看的事情的两面，没有给予事物任何价值观。那真的还蛮难做到的，因为这是全新的环境，很多事物很美，有些较丑。有些人很好，有些人在我现在看来并不那么好。

好了，我不能在越想越多，啊！得简单一点，（向爸爸说的）。我也在书里阅读到“幸福是简单的”!!!

I LURVE YOU! SARANG HAEYO! TE AMO! AISHITEIRU!待会儿见。得去准备上班了。得想办法让我在穿上制服时不要那么难看。哈哈哈。妈的，照片又放不上。我等下在试试。现在是10.43AM, 我和Evelyn去吃饭后就开工，然后到8pm.加油！！！！

TITLE: IT'S SO COLD HERE AND I WILL SURVIVE THIS!

OOOH! It's 12.16am now. I'm sitting downstairs in our dorm just beside the heater cos it's just too cold! ARGH! But i'm sideways to it so only one foot is being heated at one time but it's better than our room. Cos our friend who doesn't live with us closed the heater on the first day cos it was very warm! ARGH! So now our room has no heater and it's just so cold in there.

Today, it was the opening day of Old Faithful, the hotel (OLD Faithful Inn - a really beautiful place built in 1904 full of wooden logs, it's just beautiful cos it's just so different), the restaurant, Bear Paw Deli (the place I work at)... Cos previously they closed it cos of snow. It snowed many times today. I finally got into contact with fluffy snow! WHEE! Lemme try to put some pictures.

With the old snow, it's hard to do anything cos it's just so hard. For the fresh snow, it's really soft. I really want to build a snowman and have a snowball fight badly! Make snow angels too (like the Sims 2) - Samantha!!! You know what I mean!

Anyway, today, I was really kinda pissed n tired til I wanted to faint. I checked with other people and they said it's cos we still have jet lag. We'd get so tired at 3, 4 or 5 pm here cos it's morning in Singapore haha. My nose gets kinda runny and the air is really cold, making me feel quite terrible. The business isn't that good today for ice-cream, I worked at the ice-cream station n it was pretty nice to talk to the guests (as we like to call them, not customers). We met a Taiwanese family, felt good to talk in Mandarin like that, other people can't do it haha. But alot of people have the misconception that Singapore is in China and we can't speak in English. It's kinda insulting but we can't blame them. I'll just try to tell them English is the teaching medium in Singapore and we speak English everyday haa.

The cleaning up was the worst of all. I'm already so tired, sniffing, brain not functioning, exhausted. But we still gotta mop floors, clean stuff. So tired, I want to go home! But it reminded me of previous work experiences, it's the hardest at the start. It'll get better as time goes by! After all, it's just our 4th day here! The cooks are pretty nice though they may look kinda fierce at times! This very nice guy called William from Arizona... I was struggling with something with the mop and I guess he couldn't take it anymore cos he was just around me. Usually, during meals, sometimes he'd serve us food but he's really strict and doesn't smile much. Thank you so much for helping me! I really laughed and felt that it's not too bad ahah. It's like such a serious guy can smile too - really interesting too haha.

I kinda hate my uniform cos I look like a midget. If possible, I'll post a pic and let you all say all you all want to. At least, I feel damn nice and happy when I'm wearing my own lurvely clothes! I really want to meet South Americans or Spanish people cos I really want to practise my Spanish with them. But then a lot of people here take foreign languages in high school and I met this really nice guy called Mike. I call him Mikey and it's such a coincidence that his major in college was Spanish. Oke, I'm not sure if he's graduated or what, just that he's really good in Spanish. I'm so happy cos I can practise with him. He's really laidback and easy-going and non-discri*i*ating (I hope ha!) But it's just really casual, knowing people like that, we met some other people like Jeremy (Ohio, he's really kind and nice!), Jordan (a really special-looking gurl), Megan, LeAnn (South Africa), Cody, Broc, Bryan, Craig (Alabama) and a really nice Rachel (I feel like she's a big sister to me)... I just hope we meet much more people hee.


In the washroom in San Francisco International Airport where spent the night. We kept going to the washroom to wash up and pee or whatever and I got kinda bored and started taking lotsa pics haa. I have many other pics, will post up later.


Look at what's that! You might want to click a picture and see what we're pointing at! It's at such a near distance to us. A wild animal! I think it's a bi*on.. Ooh but I'm not too sure hee.


Reminds me of when I'm in China hee! I used to wrap my face with a scarf like that too cos it's simply too cold! I look like a joke but haha... Who cares! As long as I feel warm, it's much better than my current uniform but I guess I'll make peace with it somehow. I must keep telling myself, it's only my 4th day here!


This is me and Pui Ee, our first time stepping on snow. She's one of the gurls who came with us. Me, her and Evelyn are roommates...

Alrighty, I'm getting tired and photos' posting is not available again, something wrong with the connection argh! I'll stop here first and more updates soon!

亲爱的爸妈，
今天真得很累。有想放弃的感觉。但是一直有身旁的人说，这一切都是值得的。我们有那么美丽、宝贵的自然资源。The geysers and other geothermal features like mudpots, 就是很多不同的自然。。。AIYA, 我不知道怎么用中文说。我第一次看到雪并不那么兴奋。但今天真的很兴奋，因为我用手去触摸它，还弄成小球型，只是手都快冻僵了！我一定会去堆雪人的！（等我和EVELYN放假时，买了手套后）

我真得很厉害哦，来这里只花了5元美金HEE。下雪就像下雨，只是它是白色的。

还有，虽然今天很累，也感觉被“这些人”利用，但我们也不能怎样，毕竟这不是我们的地盘。但我一定会熬过去，就像我以前如何熬过每个我根本觉得没办法熬过的情况一样。哇，写出来后真舒服，有自我勉励、激励的作用。写出来太棒了！很庆幸的是，我还有朋友在身旁。不然，真的优点难融入，因为不是每个外国人都那么喜欢和不同的“人类”交流哈哈。

但是我们说好了，等那些不同的活动在近几天后开始进行时，我们一定后脸皮地去参加所有我们的工作时间允许的活动，然后和他们打成一片，让他们知道新加坡不在中国！哈哈哈。我得向前看，得乐观地看（尽管我穿着制服时觉得很渺小，没有自信等），以后会更好！

有点倦了！得回房睡觉去。咳，可怜的我的肚子又感觉怪怪了。

妈妈，不要担心。哥哥说你的情况很像有忧郁症的病人，哈哈，读了我的网络日记才稍微镇定下来。放心吧，我的命挺硬的，过得了这一关。我也会尽量享受我身旁一切美好的事物，如风景，雪，不同的野生动物，大自然，骑马？，hiking?(我不知道中文怎么说）。。。异国风景等。

我们看看几时有空约在网上用麦克风聊天。叫哥哥帮我们安排吧。爸爸，妈妈，桑桑，哥哥，WEIYANG等朋友和亲戚，你们要保重哦！我会照顾自己的！想念你们！我爱你们！

Whee everyone ahha, i just want to tell everyone I've arrived here safely after 4 plane flights and staying over in San Francisco Int'l Airport. I'm in Yellowstone National Park in State Wyoming, UsA. I'm living in this village called "Old Faithful", in this dorm called "Laurel". We just figured out the password for wireless here haa, I asked some ang mohs, this 2 ang mohs always have their room open.

The people here are really friendly, we chatted to people in the T (washroom) and just when we're walking around but still no South America or Spanish people so I still can't practise my Spanish or dance salsa here! The time here is 14 hours slower than Singapore. Yeah, this morning cos I slept at 10pm last night, I woke at 5am and feel so energetic. No more jet lag, it was horrible during training cos all of us were so tired!

It snowed, my first time seeing snow, but it just melts when it comes into contact with my hands. We've got some pictures of snow too haha.

I'll put things short for now. Don't worry friends and family, thanks for everyone who sent me farewell texts and my dear Papa and Mama! This morning, I managed to chat with Kelvin korkor, my Papa and Sang Sang. Whee! Feels that they are right beside me hearing their voices, just that it's a bit lag. There's no reception for my handphone here. That's why I think I'm going to use my laptop for connection with the outer world and blog. I'll try to blog as much as I can cos I know everyone out there is so curious about tis place. It's pretty much different frm what I imagined it to be. The snow, the mountains and the pine trees look unreal. The animals look like so unreal haa. Like buffaloes, bears, elks and bla bla. We saw a grizzly bear frm quite far away on the bus from the entrance to our Old Faithful, about 1 hrs 30 mins frm the entrance area...

(I like this song so much, practically the only song I kept humming frm the plane rides til here aha, Evelyn can't help but be influenced by it, I'm more dominant haa.)

SO SAD I can't post pictures now. I will do something about it so no worries. I gotta go bathe, it's 7.11am here and I have to eat b/fast at the EDR (employees dining room) and report at our work place, a deli called "Bear Paw" @ 8am for training. I don't exactly hate my uniform as much as I did when I first set eyes on it but I stil want to escape frm wearing it if I can help it aha.

Due to the snow, Old Faithful is closed until Friday, tomorrow for us. By then, we'll start business and real work sets in! Have fun everyone and hope i have fun myself too! Don't worry everyone, I'm with Evelyn and 3 other uni friends, Terence, Pui Ee and Sze Ying. This is a great journey of learning and discovery for us... So much to learn about here, about geography, the geysers, animals, mountains. I want to connect with nature! I'm sure it's gonna be hard work but only then will we cherish wad we have and feel fulfilled! I lurve everyone! m_m :DDDD

在飞机上，真得很想念你们。但是，到了这里后，太累了，又一只听别人说话（ＴＲＡＩＮＩＮＧ），一直打瞌睡。但是，别担心我，有Ｅｖｅｌｙｎ和其他朋友在，我们都互相照顾。很好！还有很多从新加坡大学来的中国学生跟我们一起。起初，有一点点不知道要怎么和他们沟通，但现在好多了。都是中华民族的同胞，我们会互相照应的！我只想快点遇到南美洲或西班牙人，因为我真得很想和他们说西班牙文！想到就兴奋！可以跳ｓａｌｓａ的话更好！

还有，昨天在听课时，我忽然觉得我们在说中文时，中文仿佛是一种秘密的语言，因为其他人都听不懂哈哈。有种优越感。但我有点觉得有些外国人以为亚洲人不会说英文，蛮好笑的。

咳，我有点担心我的ｓｕｂｊｅｃｔ　ｒｅｇｉｓｔｒａｔｉｏｎ，就是下学期我要修读的科目。但还是到时候才担心吧。我本来应该很兴奋看到下雪，但是，应为实在太冷了，我们都没穿冬装的那些很美的大衣，所以不能在外太久。尤其是冷风！啊，吹在脸上真的冷到我的牙齿一直打战！

爸，妈，我真的有那种很幸福的感觉，当我知道你们在离我很远的新加坡还一直惦记着我。我有点想哭的感觉。再见，我会再写。得去冲凉＋吃早餐然后去上班的地方。

@yu: thanks for missing me, I miss you gurls too! it feels so nice to be missed, seriously, i get that warm feeling, just that my feet and hands are still really cold argh. it snowed many times today. like on and off.

@peiyi: haha, I haven't had a chance to know someone who knows salsa by any chance. maybe i should ask around everywhere. thanks though!
